The Big Bear Valley Astronomical Society

If you were unaware Big Bear is home to the “Big Bear Valley Astronomical Society” a open and volunteer group of hobbyists and enthusiasts who meet once a month to share conversations on astronomy, space and science. With a mixture of esteemed members employed at the Big Bear Solar Observatory, to retired professionals to the average enthusiasts the BBVAS is a club for everyone. And with the hosting of free public outreach events as monthly club star parties, monthly village sidewalk telescope demonstrations and monthly Discovery Center talks and demonstrations this club is helping establish Big Bear as an astronomical beacon on top of our already bountiful attractions.
