I see different cultures as interesting, you see them as a threat, why?
How did we become so intolerable with others. Why the divide, the label and the hate.
A short poem of perspective, beauty and hate.

I see cultures as colors, vast hues of the earth,
Each a story, a heartbeat, a song, or a birth.
You see them as danger, a wall to defend,
But why does each difference seem like an end?
Where I see new flavors, a dance, or a voice,
You see only borders, stripped of all choice.
How did fear become louder than grace?
Why does another’s pride feel like space you can’t face?
When did strangers become shadows and threats?
What made you believe that we’re bound to regret?
Why the divide, the label, the hate?
In a world of such richness, whats there to defend?
To meet is to learn, to reach out, to connect—
Yet, you turn from a hand that could share, could protect.
Can we break down the walls, redraw the divide lines?
And see each culture as ours, yours, and as mine?
